Road Work on Chicora Road to Begin February 3, 2020

Butler, PA– Road work on State Route (SR) 68, between Chicora Medical Center Road and Landmark Alley, starts at 7 AM on February 3, 2020. While motorists will not be impacted until April when temporary traffic control will begin, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation urges motorists to stay alert, slow down and drive with extra caution while traveling on this section of SR 68.

During this time, Gregori Construction will install erosion and sediment controls alongside this section of roadway and construct a temporary arch culvert upstream of the Buffalo Creek Bridge. This project cost is $2.6 million dollars.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 950 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website. Also, users can find the app by clicking or scanning the QR codes at the bottom of the webpage.
